A Malaysia Airlines flight carrying 166 passengers who headed India made an emergency landing in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (21/4) morning. Party airline said the plane was forced to return due to tire burst during takeoff.
Plane with flight number MH192 will leave for Bangalore, southern India. However, the plane landed safely back at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 01:56 (local time) on Monday, about four hours after takeoff.
"Initially, the right side of the landing gear Boeing 737-800 aircraft was functioning normally, but then there was a problem during takeoff caused by a tire blowout," said one of the airline as reported by ABCNews.
Party Malaysia Airlines adds, if the tire debris found on the runway, the air traffic controllers instructed the pilots will soon return to the airport. Firefighters and rescue teams deployed to alert the emergency landing.
"Passengers who totaled 159 people with seven members of the crew have got off the plane and found no injuries," according to the airline.
Based on the track Flightradar24 Stockholm owned air traffic in real time on the site, MH192 aircraft circling in the air before making an emergency landing. Presumably it was done to remove the fuel and lighten the load before the plane landed.
"They have landed safely, thank you God." wrote the Minister of Transport and Minister of Defence of Malaysia Hishammuddin Hussein on his personal Twitter account on Monday (21/4).
