The emerald lake looks very beautiful, is not it? This lake is one of the attractions of the main attraction of The Tongariro Alpine Crossing in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand. The lake is located near the summit of Mount Tongariro has clear water, when viewed from a distance looks like a green emerald. That's why New Zealanders call it Emerald Lake.
